AlgaPrime™ DHA is a clean, sustainable source of long chain omega-3s from algae that helps enhance the nutritional value of salmon and reduce dependency on fish oil in aquaculture feed.

Enhancing Salmon Nutrition Responsibly

AlgaPrime DHA microalgae are grown in closed fermentation tanks and do not contain persistent organic pollutants that naturally accumulate in fish oil.

Higher levels of omega-3s in feed support salmon health and provide important nutrition for consumers. DHA-rich algae can also contribute to better pigmentation and more omega-3s retained in the fillet.

AlgaPrime DHA is sustainably produced with renewable energy and cane sugar as a feedstock. This results in a low carbon, water and land use impact.

Available in Two Feed Ingredient Formats

“Algae has the potential to answer multiple challenges modern salmon farmers face and the access to omega-3 is the first one.”
